Painting with Pocket, 2007, oil on canvas, found fabric, and thread, 12” x 17” x 1”.

Head and Tails, 2007, oil on board, 5” x 5” x ¼”.

Painting with Pocket and Heads and Tails, both 2007, nod toward the possibilities of painting and the use of recto/verso. Three paintings exist as one object, which has two parts. The first part is a colorful oil painting on canvas, which has an attached fabric pocket. This red and white striped pouch holds the second element -- a small square double-sided oil painting on board.
